PM Explores Tech-Driven Security Solutions with Pakistani, Saudi, Egyptian Leaders

On Monday, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani engaged in a significant diplomatic exchange with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif. The conversation centered around enhancing bilateral ties and addressing regional developments, with a particular focus on Pakistan’s mediation efforts to reduce tensions and bolster regional security and stability.

Sheikh Mohammed praised Pakistan’s role in facilitating a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, expressing Qatar’s full support for these mediation initiatives aimed at resolving the crisis through peaceful dialogue. Emphasizing the importance of all parties’ participation, he highlighted the potential for these efforts to lead to a comprehensive agreement fostering sustainable peace in the region.

In another diplomatic engagement, Sheikh Mohammed held a telephone conversation with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud. The discussion revolved around strengthening bilateral relations and assessing regional developments, particularly the ceasefire between the United States and Iran. The Qatari Prime Minister reiterated Qatar’s condemnation of the recent drone attack on Saudi Arabia and expressed unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia, endorsing all measures taken to ensure its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

The Prime Minister underscored the necessity for all involved parties to actively engage in ongoing mediation efforts. He advocated for addressing the root causes of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue, which could pave the way for a sustainable agreement that prevents future escalations.

Additionally, Sheikh Mohammed received a call from Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty. The leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations and regional developments, with a focus on the ceasefire between the United States and Iran. The conversation highlighted the significance of positive engagement in mediation efforts to resolve the crisis peacefully, aiming to establish a long-lasting agreement that enhances security and stability in the region.
