Qatar has denounced the recent ballistic missile attacks by the Houthi group on the Saudi Arabian cities of Taif and Yanbu, labeling the assaults as violations of Saudi sovereignty and breaches of international law. This strong condemnation was articulated by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which underscored the grave nature of targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure.
In its official statement, Doha called for an immediate cessation of such aggressive actions and stressed its solidarity with Saudi Arabia. The Qatari authorities reaffirmed their support for the kingdom’s efforts to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
The Ministry also highlighted the interconnected security interests of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, emphasizing that the security of Saudi Arabia is intrinsically linked to that of Qatar and other member states.
