GCC Ministers Discuss Strengthening Regional Electricity and Water Cooperation

Qatar recently took part in the 31st ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Electricity and Water Cooperation Committee, held in Manama, Bahrain. The meeting concentrated on bolstering collaboration among GCC member states to tackle pressing issues in electricity and water security.

Leading Qatar’s delegation was Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi. The discussions centered on regional electricity interconnectivity, strategies for ensuring water security, and addressing the rising demand for energy across the Gulf region.

Throughout the meeting, participants reviewed the progress achieved since the previous session, highlighting the importance of increased coordination among member countries. The focus remained on addressing regional challenges and enhancing cooperation within the energy and water sectors.
