Qatar took part in the 41st meeting of the Directors General of Passports of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which was held at the GCC General Secretariat’s headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The meeting saw representation from various member states, all aiming to enhance passport operations and public service efficiency within the region.
Leading the Qatari delegation was Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Ateeq Al Dosari, the Director General of Passports. This gathering marked a significant opportunity for officials from the GCC countries to delve into discussions focused on modernizing the management of passport services. The emphasis was placed on finding innovative solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of these services provided to the public.
During the meeting, the officials from the GCC member states worked collaboratively to explore strategies for enhancing coordination and integration among the countries. This effort is part of a broader mission to streamline and advance passport and border management services across the Gulf region, ensuring that these services meet the evolving needs of their populations.
The discussions culminated in the adoption of several recommendations aimed at bolstering cooperation within the GCC.
