Google is redefining the role of the smartphone with its new Pixel 10 lineup, centered around a revolutionary AI feature called “Magic Cue.” This tool allows the Gemini chatbot to proactively assist you by combing through your personal information on your device to surface exactly what you need, right when you need it.
Running on the custom-built Tensor G5 chip, Magic Cue is a glimpse into the future of agentic AI. It works by understanding your context; for example, it can pull up your booking confirmation from Gmail when it detects you’re calling an airline. It can also analyze a text conversation about brunch and simultaneously suggest a coffee shop and display your calendar availability. This all happens locally on the device, ensuring your data remains private.
This intelligent software is housed in a trio of new devices: the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro Fold. Each phone features significant camera enhancements, such as the first-ever 5x telephoto lens on the base Pixel 10 and a 10x optical zoom on the 10 Pro. The Pro Fold model also makes a leap in durability with IP68 water resistance.
The AI integration extends to the new Pixel Watch 4, which uses Gemini to provide personalized fitness coaching and analysis. Even the new, more affordable Pixel Buds 2a come equipped with the Gemini assistant and noise cancelling, demonstrating Google’s commitment to making its powerful AI tools accessible to a wider audience.
